It is quite easy to find your way from Ribeira Brava up to Levada Norte. The route is quite well guided with brown signposts. Walking in Madeira levadas has become so popular among turists that more and more signposts are added to help tourists to find their way to levadas. This is very helpful as it's sometimes quite hard to find these wonderful routes because of dense road network of Madeira.

Soon after Boa Morte Levada Norte pass underneath the road. Water comes from Serra de Agua waterplant and flows again around Campanário slopes to Gabo Girao and western Funchal. You can see the signposts telling something about degree of difficulty of the walks:
Serra de Agua - RED, THREE STARS = DEMANDING (DANGEROUS)
Quinta Grande - GREEN = EASY
When one continues forward a road, we end up the village of Eira Mourãoon ja later on Espigáoon. As said earlier both villages are actual landscape places of Ribeira Brava valley. Espigáo is the place to admire the views to both Encumeada and Ribeira Brava direction. Also otherwise this road is a dazzling experience with breath taking views.
