On the Levada do Norte from Boa Morte to Serra de Aqua waterplant you must be sure footed and have head for heights. Many guidebooks suggest to turn around on this place and it's not a bad idea as there is hundreds of meters direct fall down to abyss. You shouldn't go to these routes unless you have strong experience of moving on high places. If you go there please be careful as the slightest mistake may cost you a life.
When seeing these places you always think about the brave builders who once built these levadas to the hillsides and ravines.
